Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators via public information points and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. A short report is available via a published overview.

Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready news eu commission resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
